Born and raised in Winston-Salem, and raised in Davie and Forsyth counties,
attorney Bree Ward brings her repertoire of family law and criminal defense
skill and experience to our team.
Bree graduated from Fayetteville University with her Bachelor of Science
in Criminal Justice in 2010, and then earned her Master of Science in
2012. She graduated
summa cum laude, with a 4.0 GPA for each degree. She was chosen and inducted into the
National Honor Society’s
Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. And she did all of this while working full-time.
In 2012, Mrs. Ward began law school at Elon University School of Law, earning
a full academic scholarship for her sparkling undergrad history. She graduated
with her Juris Doctorate in 2015. While attending Elon University, she
was an active member of the school’s Moot Court Board, and was an
active member of Phi Alpha Delta, the Criminal Law Society, and became
a certified community mediator.
Attorney Ward had two judicial clerkships while studying at Elon: one with
the Honorable Judge James L. Gale at the North Carolina Business Court
and the other with Chief Judge William L. Osteen, Jr. at the U.S. District
Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. She also interned with
the Guilford County District Attorney’s Office and participated
in a full-time semester-in-practice program with them in spring 2015.
There, she conducted multiple district court trials, assisted in two first-degree
murder trials, and performed other Assistant District Attorney duties
with a third year in practice certificate.
In her free time, Attorney Ward enjoys spending time with her three kids,
painting, rock-climbing, hiking, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. This
past summer, her entire family, including her husband and all three children,
all became SCUBA certified and went on their first ocean dive together.
