Maria Saguilan is currently a paralegal student at Forsyth Technical Community
College. Ms. Saguilan joined DummitFradin as an intern on January 2015
and is now a part-time legal assistant. Her goal is to become a North
Carolina State Certified Paralegal.
Through her education and working at DummitFradin, Ms. Saguilan has developed
knowledge in Family Law, Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Wills & Estates,
Legal Research, and Litigation. She has a passion for working with criminal
matters, and is leaning more toward that field of law.
Ms. Saguilan has received several scholarships to attend Forsyth Tech such
as The Rotary Club of Kernersville, The Rotary Club of Stratford, The
Winston-Salem Foundation, Kate B. Reynolds, and The Kilpatrick Townsend
Scholarship earned through The Hispanic League, a non-profit organization.
Ms. Saguilan enjoys helping others and her community. For several years,
she has helped The Hall-Woodward Family Literacy Program in which Hispanic
Parents are being taught English, and their kids are being tutored. She
was also the secretary for the Hispanic Student Association at Forsyth
Tech. Ms. Saguilan uses these experiences to help others and the community
in which she serves in. She enjoys watching mystery movies, listening
to music, and spending time with family and friends.
