DWI Sobriety Test Refusal

Parallel with the criminal case going on in court, there is an administrative hearing going on at the Division of Motor Vehicles. Its not a hearing until you request it. What happens is that a police officer will fill out an affidavit saying that you refused to take the chemical test. That will get sent into the Division of Motor Vehicles, which will then generate a letter to you stating that they will suspend your license for a year unless you contest the matter at a hearing. You only have 10 days to request a hearing.
