A Compassionate and Competent Attorney You Can Rely On
Devon Senges is a bilingual expert immigration attorney in Greensboro, North Carolina. Devon has extensive experience in various immigration matters such as adjustment of status, family petitions, Special Immigrant Juvenile Visas, and U Visas. She values the personal connection she builds with each individual who seeks her services. Devon will compassionately work with you and your family to steer you safely through each step in your immigration process.
Devon is passionate about the law and its ability to change someone’s future when harnessed for good. This led her to work with a number of non-profit organizations before joining Dummit Fradin. She’s worked with Church World Services, Elon’s Humanitarian Immigration Clinic, and the D.E.A.R. Foundation to provide immigration legal services to individuals across North Carolina. She also clerked for the immigration court in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Executive Office for Immigration Review. Devon has also collaborated with immigration attorneys across the state to provide the best service possible to her clients.
If Devon could point to a specific type of case that makes her proud of her work as an immigration attorney, it would be asylum cases. In Devon’s experience, preparing a winning asylum case is one of the most challenging things anyone can do, especially if the asylum seeker is in deportation proceedings.
“Every time we win an asylum case at Dummit Fradin, I am always enormously proud. It is always a true team effort between myself, my colleagues, my staff, my client, their families, and sometimes even other professionals in the field. We call in doctors, professors, researchers, and psychologists as expert witnesses. We research on nights and weekends meticulously preparing for the challenges we know are coming – hostile judges, hostile ICE attorneys, even insidious policy changes at the federal level that are effectuated by lawmakers or state leaders who are looking to change the system to be more restrictive from the outside. You have to have grit, creativity, and a never-give-up attitude to make it through all of those roadblocks and that is what my team and my clients have. I am very proud of that.” – Attorney Devon Senges.
While Devon has helped hundreds of clients overcome their immigration matters, she always stresses to her clients that no immigration case is alike. A common misunderstanding people have about immigration law is that their case is similar to someone else they know and therefore they can expect a similar outcome. “I have been in the legal industry doing immigration work for over a decade and I have never had the same case twice,” says Devon. Each case is different and needs to be assessed individually by an experienced immigration attorney.
If you have an immigration question, contact attorney Devon Senges today. She is always eager to meet people from all walks of life and help them come up with a creative solution to their immigration case.
Devon Senges received her Juris Doctor degree from Elon University School of Law and her undergraduate degree in history and Spanish from the University of South Carolina. In law school, Devon was an active member of the Moot Court Board and Council for Christ. She also served on the Pro Bono Board.
When she’s not working, you’ll probably find Devon going for a run or hiking a new mountain trail. She’s also a fierce South Carolina Gamecocks fan.
